McLayne + Chris | Engaged
McLayne and Chris were hoping for some beautiful fall color for their engagement session at Saratoga State Park, and nature definitely did not disappoint! The leaves were showing off with gorgeous shades of yellow and gold, creating the perfect backdrop for their photos.
It was a chilly, cloudy day, but those overcast skies gave us the soft, beautiful light that photographers love. Add in all of that fall color, and we had everything we needed for a gorgeous autumn engagement session!
I’ve photographed along the Geyser Loop Trail at Saratoga State Park several times, and that was originally where we planned to have their session. But when we arrived, we found yellow caution tape blocking the trail. So, we changed plans!
We headed to the other side of the stream and found another beautiful trail surrounded by trees and fall foliage. Sometimes an unexpected change of plans leads you somewhere even better, and this spot ended up being perfect for McLayne and Chris.
They were such a sweet couple to photograph, and I loved spending the afternoon getting to know them while we explored the park together. Engagement sessions are always a great opportunity for us to get comfortable working together before the wedding day—and, of course, to have a little fun along the way!
Meet McLayne and Christopher! I’m so excited to photograph their wedding next spring at Settles Hill and can’t wait to see what their wedding day has in store for us!
