Maternity Session at Pinehaven Country Club | Albany NY Maternity Photographer

There is something so special about photographing a couple as they prepare to welcome a new little one into their family. I was so excited to photograph Joelle and Dan’s maternity session and capture this beautiful chapter in their lives.

Joelle looked absolutely gorgeous with her sweet baby bump, and she and Dan were so natural together in front of the camera. Their excitement about becoming parents made this session even more special to photograph.

Maternity Photos at Pinehaven Country Club

We chose Pinehaven Country Club for their maternity session, and it was the perfect setting for a chilly late-fall day in Upstate New York.

I love photographing sessions at golf courses during the colder months. Even after most of the colorful fall leaves are gone, the open landscape, tall trees, and beautiful grounds still create an amazing backdrop for portraits. It may have been a little chilly—and a little muddy—but Joelle and Dan were such good sports!

The soft, muted colors of the late-fall landscape also allowed the focus to stay exactly where it belonged: on these two and the little baby they were so excited to meet.

Capturing This Special Season Before Baby Arrives

Maternity sessions are such a beautiful way to document the anticipation and excitement that comes before welcoming a new baby. It is such a short season of life, and I love being able to preserve it through photographs that families can look back on for years to come.
