Emily and David were married in a beautiful ceremony surrounded by their family and friends at Ellms Farm on September 9, 2023 and despite what the forecast said, it did not rain a single drop on their wedding day. The sun even came out and it turned out to be a warm fall day!
The day began with the ladies getting ready at Emily’s mom’s house which was a short distance from Ellms. Laughter and excitement filled the air as I was able to get to know her mom and bridesmaids and capture some detail shots. Before we knew it, it was time to head to Ellms for their ceremony.
Emily and David’s bridal party members were so much fun. They even had a bubbleman, and bubblegirl who were in charge of creating tons and tons of BUBBLES all night!
The Ellms barn was decorated so beautifully in a fall theme which, as you know, is my FAVORITE season! There was also little hints of dinosaurs throughout the ceremony that were not obvious, but they were hinted throughout. If you saw their engagement post, you’ll see that the dinosaurs are a reoccurring theme.
The moment I found out that they were having the “dancing on the cloud” effect for their first dance, I was SO excited. I haven’t had the opportunity to photograph that before, and it was amazing! The fog gives the dance floor an element of enchantment, it was so beautiful.
The couple played the Newlywed game in which they had to raise up a pink glove if they believed the answer was the Bride, and the blue glove for the Groom. So much fun.
And Emily had a hidden talent that just blew me away! She never mentioned this during any of our conversations or even during their engagement session – but that girl can SING! My jaw hit the floor when she sang a song with her brother playing guitar at the start of their reception and then towards the end of the night, she rocked out the song “I want to dance with somebody” while her guests all danced and cheered her on. She was amazing.
Congratulations again to Emily and David. It was a beautiful beginning to your forever.
