Mansion at Cedar Hill

This wedding was jaw dropping in every element. From Navita’s dress, from the decor, and every small detail that did not go unnoticed.

Navita and Jeremy’s wedding ceremony took place at the beautiful Mansion at Cedar Hill in Ravena, NY, which is deeply rich in history going back to 1907 with the Governor of New York, Martin Glynn.  Glynn later sold the mansion to Daniel Pryor who made it a year round home. Pryor was a prominent lawyer.  One of his clients was Jack “Legs” Diamond, the notorious prohibition era gangster!!! 

I have never seen a more beautiful ceremony than the Hindu Wedding Ceremony. The ceremony alone was 2 hours long, and it went by so fast. There was so many elements and ceremonies as part of the ceremony which kept you engaged and I loved every minute of it (see their wedding program below for the complete detail of all of the ceremonies).

Navita and Jeremy’s wedding day started with a first look and private vow reading. Navita’s family announced her arrival with horns and adorned cars and when she stepped out of the car, I felt like I was looking at royalty. She was breathtakingly beautiful.

During one of our pre-wedding conversations, I had brought up the idea of the private vow reading so that they could enjoy that moment, and say to each other what they will be saying during their ceremony, but in a more intimate setting. They were so happy that they decided to do that. Plus it gave them a moment to let their emotions out before they would do it again in front of their family.

During the ceremony, Navita’s sister Javita played a trick on Jeremy and stole his shoes. Later during the ceremony, she made him pay money to get his shoes back, LOL. It was all in good fun and the guests were roaring with laughter. Jeremy ended the ceremony with the traditional Jewish celebration of Chuppah, the breaking of the glass.

After the ceremony, the couple changed into the traditional wedding attire and joined their guests for a beautiful wedding celebration with the amazing DJ Savan from Blaze Entertainment.
