Emily and David were married on September 9, 2023, in a beautiful ceremony surrounded by their family and friends at Ellms Farm—and despite what the forecast tried to tell us, not a single drop of rain fell. In fact, the sun made a perfectly timed appearance, giving them a warm, golden fall day that felt like it was meant just for them.
The day began with the ladies getting ready at Emily’s mom’s house, just a short drive from Ellms. From the moment I arrived, the house was filled with laughter, excitement, and that unmistakable wedding-morning buzz. It was so special getting to know Emily’s mom and her bridesmaids while capturing all the meaningful details—those quiet moments before the day truly takes off. Before we knew it, it was time to head to Ellms Farm for the ceremony.
Emily and David’s bridal party was an absolute blast. Their energy set the tone for the entire day—and yes, they even had a Bubble Man and Bubble Girl whose sole mission was to keep the bubbles flowing all night long. Mission accomplished. 🫧
The barn at Ellms Farm was decorated beautifully with a cozy fall theme—which, as you know, is my favorite season. Every detail felt intentional and warm. And if you looked closely, you might have spotted a few subtle dinosaur hints sprinkled throughout the décor. Dinosaurs are a recurring theme for Emily and David (you’ll catch it again if you peek at their engagement session!), and I loved how personal and playful those little nods felt.
One of my favorite moments of the night was their first dance. When I found out they were doing the “dancing on the clouds” effect, I was beyond excited—this was my first time photographing it, and it did not disappoint. The fog wrapped around them, creating the most enchanting, almost fairytale-like atmosphere. It was pure magic.
The fun didn’t stop there. During the reception, Emily and David played the Newlywed Game, raising a pink glove for “Bride” and a blue glove for “Groom.” The laughter, the reactions, and the friendly competition had everyone smiling.
And then—Emily completely surprised everyone.
Without ever mentioning it beforehand (not even during their engagement session!), Emily revealed a hidden talent that absolutely blew me away: she can sing. She performed a song with her brother playing guitar at the start of the reception, and I swear the room collectively held its breath. Later in the night, she took it up a notch and rocked “I Wanna Dance with Somebody,” with guests cheering, dancing, and soaking up every second. She was incredible.
Emily and David, congratulations again. Your wedding day was filled with love, laughter, meaningful details, and unforgettable moments. It was such an honor to capture the beautiful beginning of your forever. 💛
