Juniper Springs Wedding Barn was the place to be on Saturday, August 5, 2023!
Jack and Madie’s story began 11 years ago. They are both freestyle aerials (if you aren’t sure what exactly this is – google it!!) I couldn’t imagine doing those flips on a trampoline, let alone on skis! I am truly amazed. They met in Lake Placid, NY (one of my favorite places) at the Olympic Training Center training for Freestyle Aerials.
Because they live in Utah, we were not able to connect for an engagement session so I first met them both at their rehearsal the day before their wedding. I always love meeting my couple before their wedding day. I want to know who they are before walking in on their wedding day, and I want them to know who I am, which is why I love engagement sessions with my couple. I don’t want to feel like just another vendor! Since we couldn’t have the engagement session, I was so thankful that I had this opportunity to spend some time with them! I loved getting to know them, their family and their close friends which helped set the stage for their wedding.
On their wedding day, the ladies got ready in the Bridal Suite at Juniper Springs while the guys got ready at the cabin. I love this venue for many reason, but one of them is the bridal suite! It’s this cute little house that has a glamour area, plus a full size mirror, table and couches. It’s absolutely perfect and just the right size for the total chaos of ladies getting ready.
Madie, her sister, mom and her best friends spent the morning laughing, and remembering stories of their childhood. I loved the energy in the room as they danced to remembered dance routines and belted out songs. Before everyone knew it it was time for Madie to have her first look with her Dad. He is just the sweetest. I enjoyed talking to him and hearing about his travels while serving in the Marines as he reminisced about life over the years. Madie also had a first look with Jack’s brothers and best friends before the wedding, where they joked around with her and helped loosen any nerves.
Jack and Madie were married in front of the pond where the water was peaceful and there was a soft breeze in the air keeping the temperatures down. It was a beautiful ceremony with personalized vows and stories that left guests laughing and also teary-eyed.
Guests danced the night away to music provided by DJ Ketchup who was amazing and knew how to keep the dance floor packed!
I felt honored to be part of the team that made this day perfect. A big thank you to Juniper Springs Wedding Barn team, & DJ Ketchup. Florals were made by Madie’s Mom!! Amazing work!
