I love all of the weddings that I photograph, but being able to photograph my brother’s wedding was such an honor.
When I first met Amy, I instantly felt like she was part of our family. She is so thoughtful and kind and has a calming presence about her. She loves to laugh, and to make others laugh and she would do anything for you. She is exactly what Mark, and my nephew Aidan, needed in their lives.
Amy and Mark were married at Amy’s cousin’s house out in Western NY. Ken and I, with the boys and my mother and sister, had decided to make it a mini-vacation and visit Niagara Falls area in the days leading up to their wedding (I’ll post about that soon).
I love “at home” weddings because they are so relaxed, informal and is just a fun time. Guests enjoyed a cocktail hour upon their arrival and when it was time for the ceremony, everyone made their way to this GORGEOUS barn.
Amy was lead to the ceremony sight by her nieces, nephew and cousins who blew bubbles and threw rose petals.
I love the smiles that both Mark and Amy gave to each other, as both were trying not to cry as she walked down the tree stump lined aisle.
Following their ceremony, guests enjoyed dancing, karaoke, swimming and a huge bonfire. It was truly a great wedding celebrating the love of these two, who were made for each other.
