Photographing this beautiful family over the years has been such a gift. Their sweet little girl is actually the one who requested that her family book with me again this year. She remembered her photo sessions with me starting all the way back when she was just two years old, and honestly… my heart melted. There’s something incredibly special about watching kids grow up through your lens, and even more special when they’re excited to come back.
We met at one of my favorite places: Saratoga State Park, along the Geyser Loop Trail. I swear I always end up here, and I’m not mad about it. The trail is stunning no matter the season, but this day had its own kind of magic. It was cold and windy, and although it had snowed the day before, most of it had melted away—leaving just enough crispness in the air to feel like fall, with pops of golden leaves still hanging on.
Missi, Matt & Rosie were absolute troopers in the chilly weather. They snuggled close, laughed through the wind, and embraced the moment exactly as it was. These are the sessions I love most—the ones that feel real, relaxed, and full of heart.
I’m so grateful to capture their story year after year. Watching families grow, change, and come back to me is the greatest compliment I could ever receive.
