Navita + Jeremy | Day 2 Haldi Ceremony

Day two of Navita and Jeremy’s Hindu wedding celebration continued with the Haldi Ceremony. The ceremony symbolizes the start of a new life together and is believed to cleanse and purify the couple. It’s also said to protect the couple from negative omens. The turmeric paste is said to bring luck and it also brightens the skin tone before the wedding day!

This ceremony got to me, it was so beautifully written. I had gotten teary eyed at some parts, especially seeing her parents tear up. Following the prayers, the family rubbed turmeric dye on Navita and Jeremy which was a lot of fun to watch!
