There’s something so timeless about photographing at Saratoga State Park. From its rich history to its peaceful wooded trails, it’s one of my favorite places for engagement photos. Every corner offers a perfect backdrop — whether it’s sun-kissed pathways or quiet, tree-lined trails that make you forget how close you are to town.
This session was a little extra special to me because I’ve known Noah for years. He’s my cousin’s nephew, and watching him all grown up and preparing to marry the love of his life, Makenzie, was such a full-circle moment. It’s wild how time flies — one day you’re watching these kids play, and the next they’re planning their wedding!
When we arrived at the park, the skies were threatening rain (as they have been all year!). It was one of those dark, moody evenings that photographers both love and fear. But luck was on our side — the rain held off just long enough for us to capture some stunning shots, and the soft light filtering through the trees created the dreamiest atmosphere.
Makenzie and Noah were naturals in front of the camera. Every time they looked at each other, they’d either burst into laughter or break into those giant, genuine smiles that make photographing couples so rewarding. You can tell how much love and fun they share just by being around them.
I absolutely cannot wait for their winter wedding later this year! If their engagement session was any preview, it’s going to be an unforgettable celebration filled with love, laughter, and maybe even a little snow.
