Elegant Meets Rustic at the Blue Bird Farm

This beautiful wedding took place at the Blue Bird Farm in Medusa, New York. The Farm itself is rich in history. Originally built in 1885, the older barn was modernized and a new addition overlooking the mountains makes it a perfect location for an outdoor/barn themed wedding which is so popular in Upstate New York.

Every element of this wedding was thought out and carefully planned out. Britney thought of everything!

From all of the personally created items – all the florals, the signs, and let me talk about the gorgeous wedding doors for their outdoor wedding for a minute. Britney and Greg’s fathers made the wedding doors, and the way that they were used for their wedding brought tears to my eyes (yes, I know, I get teary eyed a lot during weddings). Greg came through the doors first, followed by all of his groomsmen who paused before each of them walked down the aisle. I have not seen this entrance before, and I hope more will do this! After each groomsman walked down the aisle, he gave Greg a huge hug.

During the parent dances, the parents surprised Britney and Greg with a slideshow of photos of each them through from birth through the years which played on a huge projector during the Daddy-Daughter and Mother-Son dance. This also is another element that I hope more weddings incorporate. Although guests love watching the parent dances, having the slide show in the background is something that all guests absolutely LOVE to watch and love to look back and remember all of those moments throughout the Bride and Groom’s life.

The way that Britney and Greg look at each other is so tender and touching, it’s obvious how much love these two have for each other. I loved being there to witness this and to capture all of the moments for their wedding.

From beginning to end, this wedding was pure perfection! I was so honored to be part of it.
