Carriage House at Fort William Henry | Lake George NY | Wedding | Chandler + Dan

I will never get tired of photographing weddings in Lake George, NY. Between the mountains, the lake, and the incredible scenery, it’s one of those places that creates a beautiful backdrop in every season. Chandler and Dan’s wedding at The Carriage House at Fort William Henry was no exception.

Their late summer wedding brought together gorgeous Lake George views, beautiful weather, plenty of emotion, and two people who are genuinely so much fun to be around.

A Carriage House at Fort William Henry Wedding

Chandler and Dan chose The Carriage House at Fort William Henry in Lake George, NY for their wedding celebration.

As someone who loves history, I was immediately drawn to this venue. The Carriage House is part of the historic Fort William Henry property and has been beautifully transformed into a wedding and event space while still maintaining so much of its original character.

The exposed wooden beams give the interior a warm, rustic feeling, while the large space and incredible views of Lake George make it such a beautiful setting for a wedding.

Walking inside for the first time, I immediately noticed the smell of the wood from the exposed beams. It gave the entire space that cozy, welcoming feeling of a cabin in the mountains—perfect for a Lake George wedding.

And then you step outside and see that view!

A Lake George Wedding Ceremony With the Perfect View

Chandler and Dan couldn’t have asked for a prettier setting for their ceremony.

They were married by Dan’s cousin, which made the ceremony feel even more personal. Behind them were scattered white clouds against a brilliant blue sky, the beautiful waters of Lake George, and sailboats enjoying some of the final days of summer.

It was one of those ceremony backdrops that almost doesn’t look real in photographs.

But as beautiful as the scenery was, Chandler and Dan were definitely the focus.

Surrounded by their family and friends, the two exchanged vows and officially became husband and wife with one of the most iconic Lake George views behind them.

Celebrating Chandler + Dan

One of my favorite parts of photographing a wedding reception is listening to the speeches.

I get to spend most of the wedding day getting to know my couples from behind the camera, but the speeches give me a completely different glimpse into who they are. I love hearing the stories from parents, siblings, and best friends—and watching all of the laughter, tears, and reactions around the room.

Chandler and Dan’s reception was no different.

Their dads and best friends shared stories about each of them, and listening to the people closest to Chandler and Dan speak so highly of them confirmed the impression I had already formed throughout the day.

They are simply two incredibly kind, genuine people.

They are the kind of couple who make everyone around them smile—and that happiness came through in every part of their wedding day.

From their beautiful ceremony overlooking Lake George to the warm, rustic atmosphere inside The Carriage House, Chandler and Dan’s wedding was such a wonderful day to photograph.

Lake George is one of my favorite places in Upstate New York for weddings, and The Carriage House at Fort William Henry combines so many of the things I love in a wedding venue—history, character, mountain scenery, and those incredible lake views.

Chandler and Dan, thank you for allowing me to be part of such a beautiful celebration.
