A Gorgeous Wedding on the Lake

What a gorgeous wedding of Shannon and Dan at the Bayshore Grove in Oswego, NY. It was so beautiful and magical, everything went just as Shannon had planned.

Shannon and Dan’s story began when they were both in college. They met at a fire on Lake Ontario just a few miles from where this wedding took place. He was in a fraternity on campus and she was in a sorority. They had mutual friends that all knew each other. The first time they hung out together they hit it off but it wasn’t until several months later he asked her out on his birthday. Strategic on his part! How could she say no? But lucky for them – they have been together ever since!

When Dan planned to propose, Shannon had been away in Florida visiting her grandmother for the week prior to the engagement.  He picked out the ring when she was away and made a plan to propose when she got back.  Shannon grew suspicious because he cut his hair, shaved his covid mustache and suggested that she get her nails done (which he never even really notices before). He took the day off of work the day she returned from Florida and they went up to Lake George. It had just stormed and snowed over 18 inches. The snow was on the trees making it look so beautiful. He had bought her a nice digital camera that year and told her that they should go take some photos of the lake. He then proposed at the base of the lake as they were going to leave from taking photos!!

For their wedding day, Shannon thought of everything and nothing was left out! From the beautiful programs, the floral arrangements, the signs, the first look with her dad and brothers, and the doves during the ceremony!  It was perfect from beginning to end. Congratulations Shannon and Dan!!
