A Snowy Engagement Session on Family Property

Britney and Greg’s love story started way before they even came into each other’s life! Their parents worked together for 30 years and were friends. When Greg and Britney met each other as adults, it was an instant connection!

When the time came to propose, Greg patiently waited all summer for them to complete a patio that they built together at his house. Britney had a long day coaching a volleyball tournament, and Greg welcomed her home, blindfolded her and said he had a nice dinner prepared. He led her outside where the patio was covered with rose petals, the pergola lit up with Edison lights, and decorated beautifully with mums, corn stalks and a bail of hay. Champagne prepared for a toast and a bouquet of flowers for good luck, he got down on one knee with their dog and cat even out on the patio to join them, and asked her to marry him. Britney’s cousin’s husband was hiding behind the fence capturing photos through a hole throughout the whole proposal. It was a perfect night! Afterwards, they popped some champagne, called all of their family and close friends to celebrate the good news! Their special dinner to end the night was Britney’s favorite, pizza rolls!!

Britney and Greg knew immediately that they wanted to have their engagement session on his family property in Duanesburg, NY. This property was just stunning in the winter with all of the snowy trees, and a winter squall during their session!! Britney’s red dress against the white snow was just amazing!

I had a great time getting to know them as Greg’s parents took us on a Rhino all around the property searching for perfect spots telling me all of the stories of Greg growing up and the adventures in the woods on this property. It sounded very similar to my childhood when my brother and I would explore the woods and neighboring fields.

Britney and Greg truly are the sweetest couple. I’m so honored that they chose me to be their photographer.
