Kellie & Dallas | A Romantic, Rustic Wedding at Brookledge in Saratoga County
When Kellie and Dallas reached out about photographing their wedding at Brookledge in Saratoga County, I was absolutely thrilled. I first met this sweet couple two years ago when I photographed Dallas’s brother’s wedding, and it was such a joy to reconnect with this amazing family. They’re warm, kind, and so full of love — the kind of people who make my job as a wedding photographer such a dream.
Brookledge is one of the newer wedding venues in the Saratoga area, and it’s quickly becoming one of my favorites. The property offers the perfect mix of rustic charm and romantic beauty — from its open-air pavilion to the fully stocked pond complete with a peaceful fountain. The ceremony site is tucked away in the woods, surrounded by tall trees and soft, natural light. It’s truly a photographer’s paradise and an incredible spot for couples who love nature and want a relaxed, outdoor wedding day. I cannot say nice enough things about their staff. They were so attentive to the couple, to their guests and eager to help with anything needed to ensure that this was the best day ever for Kellie and Dallas.
I have to take a moment to mention the Brookledge staff, because they were absolutely phenomenal. They were kind, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure Kellie and Dallas — and all of their guests — had the best day possible.
From helping the couple into the canoe for their portraits, to driving us up the mountainside for those stunning valley views, to holding the bouquet and fluffing Kellie’s dress — they were always one step ahead. Their teamwork and genuine care made the entire day flow so smoothly. It’s rare to find a team so invested in their couples’ experience, and the Brookledge staff truly made the day unforgettable.
Kellie and Dallas chose to do a first look overlooking the pond, and it was such a tender, emotional moment. You could feel the excitement and love between them the instant they saw each other. After sharing a few quiet moments together, they decided to take things up a notch — by hopping into the canoe for some photos on the water! The reflections, the laughter, the gentle ripples — it all made for such magical images that perfectly captured their personalities and adventurous spirits.
After the canoe adventure, we headed up to the mountaintop for portraits overlooking a gorgeous valley. The view was absolutely breathtaking, and the light was golden and soft — the kind of glow every wedding photographer dreams about. The two of them were so natural together, just soaking in the moment. It was one of those times where you could pause and think, this is exactly what love looks like.
The ceremony site at Brookledge is something truly special. Deep in the woods sits a beautiful old stone fireplace, likely the remains of a dwelling from years ago. It’s full of character and history — the kind of unique detail that gives this venue so much soul. Guests sat on handcrafted wooden benches, surrounded by the forest, the aisle decorated with lush, oversized ferns that fit the natural setting perfectly.
As Kellie walked down the fern-lined aisle on her Dad’s arm toward Dallas, the sunlight filtered gently through the trees, creating a warm, romantic glow. Their ceremony felt intimate, heartfelt, and deeply connected to the nature around them. It was one of those moments where time seemed to stand still — just love, family, and the sound of the breeze through the leaves.
After the ceremony, everyone gathered at the Brookledge pavilion for a night full of laughter and celebration. The reception space was beautifully decorated with rustic details and twinkling lights, setting the perfect tone for the evening.
Guests didn’t just dance — they played! There were lawn games like cornhole and giant Jenga, keeping everyone entertained between dances. Later in the night, guests gathered around the fire pit to roast marshmallows and make s’mores, which was such a cozy and fun touch. It perfectly matched the laid-back, rustic vibe of the entire day.
And of course, once the music kicked in, the dance floor was absolutely jumping to the sounds of DJ Mike Reilly. It was such a joy to capture all the laughter, the hugs, and the endless energy that filled the night.
As the evening came to a close, the lights of the pavilion glowed softly against the dark woods, and the sounds of laughter echoing. Kellie and Dallas’s wedding day at Brookledge in Saratoga County was the perfect mix of romance, rustic charm, and genuine fun — a day that truly reflected who they are as a couple.
Kellie and Dallas, thank you again for letting me be part of your incredible wedding day. It was such an honor to capture every smile, tear, and joyful moment.
