Jennifer + JP

Jennifer and JP’s wedding overlooked the Mohawk River in Glenville at the beautiful River Stone Manor. I just love this venue. The grounds are gorgeous, the food is always amazing and the staff are so great to work with. Plus the old house that sits on the property where the Bridal party gets ready just hits home and reminds me of the old farmhouse that I grew up in – although the house I grew up in was not as lavish! It still reminds me of home though.

This wedding was especially important to me because JP is my cousin. We are a few days apart in age so we, along with my other 20-something first cousins spent many summers and parties together as our parents were very close. I was so honored when JP and Jennifer booked me to photograph their wedding.

JP and Jennifer did not have a first look, but before the ceremony, Jennifer opted to have a first look with her 3 adult sons. It was so sweet and emotional, everyone was crying. I was even wiping away my own tears!

For the ceremony, JP was lead down the aisle by both of his parents. It was a touching moment and I love when grooms are lead in by their parents. It is a nice way to honor both parents.

The flower man skipped his way down the aisle and threw rose petals to line the way for Jennifer. Everyone was dying laughing, and he had such a good time playing the role!

When Jennifer and her Uncle Rick walked out of the house towards the ceremony, you could see the emotion in her uncle’s face as he was struggling to hold it together.

JP and Jennifer exchanged personal wedding vows that were so sweet, and thoughtful!!! I love when the bride and groom do personal vows. I did not do this in my own wedding, but I wish that we had! I strongly recommend this for all couples. It adds a level of personalization that just hits the heart of the couple plus all of their guests which typically leads to a few tears.

Jennifer and JP, thank you again for including me in your day! I loved being there not only as your guest but as your photographer!
