This day was an absolute dream. With just a small breeze to keep the temperatures comfortable and gorgeous clouds in the sky, everything went exactly the way that Trish and Mike had planned for their big day.
The ladies got ready in a small cabin that is on the property that is just the type of place you can picture spending a week at a camp. It is so detailed with beautiful wood carvings in the staircase, nooks under the stairs and the farm inspired paintings. The gentleman got ready in the lower level of the main barn which was also tastefully decorated and a huge space with an outdoor area.
When it was time for their first look, the guys had a small surprise for Mike. Little did he know he know he wouldn’t be seeing his bride right away. He was all set up and ready to turn to see his beautiful bride standing before him, and instead, when he turned around…. there was his best friend….. in a dress! It took him a second to register what he was looking at and then everyone burst out laughing. Poor Mike wiped tears away that were threatening to spill over as he had waited for Trish, as he exclaimed – I wasted tears on that!! hahaha. So funny.
But when it was the REAL time to see Trish, the tears flowed again, and their son Cameron was prepared and had tissues on hand.
We spent time after their first look at all the cute spots on the property for Bride and Groom and wedding party photos and then it was time to go into hiding before the ceremony.
After the grandparents, parents, bridal party, and their youngest son Blake made their way down the aisle, it was time for Trish to make her grand entrance which left many eyes (including my own) teary. Their eldest son Cameron waited on the porch where she was getting ready and when it was time, he opened the door for her and she took his arm as he lead her to the ceremony site where he handed her to her Dad to finish the walk down the aisle. I love the smile on Cameron’s face as he’s walking down the aisle and then gave his dad a big hug, and handed him more tissues!
Their ceremony was beautiful, and guests sat under a gorgeous white pavilion overlooking the pond.
Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed a cocktail hour as I snapped a few more photos of family and the bride and groom until the reception started.
Family and friends danced the night away to music played by DJ Tito who was AMAZING! Tito even made a compilation video of little video clips he took during the day from getting ready, right through to the ceremony and reception. How he did that all is unreal, but to top it off, at the end of the evening, guests were able to enjoy the video he played on his giant screen and relive the day all over again.
